The Golden Eagles host Date Night at the Al as part of a special ticket package
MILWAUKEE — The Marquette women's basketball team is back in action on Friday as the Golden Eagles host Xavier the Xavier at 7 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.
The game will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Patrick Reed (play-by-play) and Meghan McKeown (analyst) calling the action.
The Golden Eagles (18-6, 9-4) are coming off a stellar win in Queens this past Sunday at St. John's. Senior Altia Anderson recorded a career and game-high 15 points on a perfect 7-7 shooting to lead the squad. Selena Lott continued to spread the ball, handing out eight assists to go along with seven rebounds. She leads the conference in assists per game with 5.9. The win was large in part due to a big third quarter for MU as they held the Jonnies to just eight points in the frame.
Lott continues to lead the Golden Eagles with 14.8 points per game, which is tenth in the BIG EAST, while Van Kleunen, Spingola, and Taylor also rank in the top-30. Altia Anderson has been a force on the glass this season and is pulling down 6.5 boards per night, which ranks 12th in the conference as Van Kleunen joins her in the top-20. As a team Marquette combines to take down a league-leading 39.9 rebounds per game with a +9.6 margin.
UP NEXT: Marquette hosts Butler on Sunday, February 16 at 2 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center for its Play4Kay pink game.

WHAT THE TEAM IS SAYING:
Following the win over St. John's…
"We had a good 'next man up' mentality today. Throughout the game we had players in foul trouble, but I knew that we all have each other's backs. If I sit down or someone else sits down, as a team we are confident that the next person is going to step up and perform.
