Marquette faces two teams in three days
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's tennis team travels to Knoxville this Friday, Feb. 14, to take on the No. 22/22-ranked University of Tennessee, followed by a trip to Chattanooga on Sunday, Feb. 16, to face the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The Golden Eagles (2-4) hope to snap a cold streak after dropping four in a row, though Natalija Popovic and Fleur Eggink have won three straight doubles matchups.
The Volunteers (5-1) are coming off two straight victories from the past weekend, defeating Purdue 6-1 and sweeping Indiana 4-0.
The Mocs (4-0) most recently defeated USC Upstate 6-1, winning five of six singles matches and claiming the doubles point. Chattanooga will face UNC Asheville two days before Marquette arrives.
Coverage for Friday's match begins at 3 p.m. CT while Sunday's battle is scheduled for a 10 a.m. CT start time.
