Steller and Greving led MU with two goals each
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's lacrosse team fell 16-6 to Louisville on Monday afternoon. With the loss, the Golden Eagles dropped to 1-2 overall.

The Cardinals led 7-0 in the first half before junior attacker Caroline Steller put the Golden Eagles on the board with a goal at the 3:18 mark of the first half. Less than three minutes later she added another and MU went into the halftime break trailing 9-2.

Shea Garcia tallied her sixth goal of the season to begin the second half before freshman Hannah Greving netted her first collegiate goal to bring MU with five goals at 9-4. Greving would later go on to add another goal off a great pass from senior captain Megan Menzuber.

Jules Horning and Sophia Leva split time in net and combined for 11 saves, facing 33 shots from their opposition. Maria Mulvihill picked up three ground balls and Jocelyn Miller caused two turnovers to lead the defensive unit. Erin Dowdle also tallied a career-high in draw controls with six.

For the Cardinals, attackers Hannah Morris and Ally Hall scored four goals apiece while freshman Allegra Catalano tallied a hat trick. Rachel Florek saved a game-high nine shots in 53 minutes of play this afternoon.

MU will head back to Milwaukee to prepare for a two-game home stand against Canisius and Niagara. The game against Canisius will be on Friday. Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. while the Niagara game will be on Sunday at noon CT. Both games will be live streamed on GoMarquette.com.
