Women's Tennis Travels to Minnesota

MU will face Iowa and Minnesota over the weekend

Milwaukee-- The Marquette University women's tennis team travels out of state this weekend to Minneapolis, Minnesota to take on the University of Iowa on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT before facing the University of Minnesota on Sunday morning at 11 a.m. CT.

The team is looking to bounce back from a tough 4-3 loss against neighboring rival, the University of Wisconsin, this past weekend on their home court. Marquette (2-2) was led by Natalija Popovic and Fleur Eggnik (6-1), as well as Elisabeth Desmarais and Giulia Turconi (6-4) who took victories during their doubles match up.

The Hawkeyes are coming off a loss 1-4 loss against Texas Tech, while the Gophers swept both Northern Iowa and University of North Dakota, 7-0 for their first home matches of the season.

Following this weekend's games, Marquette will travel to the University of Tennessee for their match that takes place on Friday Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. CT.
