Popovic wins singles and doubles
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—The Marquette University women's tennis team fell to Iowa 4-1 in the first day of competition at the University of Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles (2-3) would find success through Natalija Popovic, who won the team's only point at No. 3 singles, 7-5, 6-2.
Marquette's only other victory on the afternoon came from a Natalija Popovic and Fleur Eggink No. 1 doubles win (6-4).
The Golden Eagles return to Baseline Tennis Center tomorrow, Feb. 9, to take on Minnesota at 11 a.m. CT.
