Team falls on day two of back-to-back
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.—The Marquette University women's tennis team was defeated by Minnesota, 4-0, on Sunday afternoon, the second day of a back-to-back.
The Golden Eagles (2-4) once again found victory in Natalija Popovic and Fleur Eggink's No. 1 doubles performance. Unfortunately, this would be the only win of the day.
Natalija Popovic's No. 3 singles match proved to be extremely competitive, ending in a 7-5, 6-4 loss to the Gophers.
The Golden Eagles will return home before shipping out to Knoxville to take on the University of Tennessee this Friday, Feb. 14, with a scheduled start time of 3 p.m. CT.
