Golden Eagles to play trio of matches
The Marquette University men's tennis team (7-4) heads to Orlando for three-game swing against UNC-Wilmington, Georgetown and Boston on its annual spring trip.
The first match will take place on Monday, March 9 at 10 a.m CT when the Golden Eagles face the UNC-Wilmington Seahawks. The Seahawks are 4-5 this season and this will be their first ever match-up against MU.
"We always look forward to this trip, not only for the weather, but also the chance to spend an extended amount of time together on the road," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "This will also be the only opportunity we have to play outside prior to the BIG EAST Tournament in April."
The Golden Eagles will take on Georgetown on Thursday, March 12 at 10 a.m. CT. MU has an 8-0 record over the Hoyas, who are 4-6 this season. Both the Golden Eagles and the Hoyas have a win over BIG EAST opponent Xavier this year.
To conclude the week, MU will face off against Boston University on Saturday, March 14 at 11 a.m. CT.
MU is coming off of a weekend of wins over Xavier and UIC. The Golden Eagles will return to action at home on Friday, March 20 at 1 p.m. CT against Toledo.
