The Marquette University men's tennis team (1-2) picked up its first dual victory of the campaign with a 6-1 decision over IUPUI (0-1) Friday evening in non-conference action at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The Golden Eagles and Jaguars will face each other again on Saturday afternoon, with first serve set for 2 p.m. CT.
Marquette claimed the doubles point for the first time in three outings, with the first-time tandem of Shaddy Khalafallah and freshman Tin Krstulovic earning a 6-4 decision at the No. 3 spot.
MU continued the momentum into singles play, claiming a trio of straight-set singles decisions to earn the team victory. Fran San Andres clinched with a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 1, his first-ever appearance for the Golden Eagles at the top singles spot.
