MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's volleyball team continues its road swing with a match on Friday night at Providence before a meeting with No. 19 Creighton on Sunday afternoon.

The Golden Eagles take on the Friars at 5 p.m. Central time Friday at Alumni Hall before their 1 p.m. CT matinee matchup against the Bluejays on Sunday at D.J. Sokol Arena in Omaha, Nebraska.

MARQUETTE (13-2, 4-0 BIG EAST): The Golden Eagles have won seven straight matches and are coming off a sweep of DePaul on Sunday. Taylor Wolf and Hope Werch each had nine kills against the Blue Demons, and Jenna Reitsma added eight. Marquette hit .342 on the afternoon, its fourth-highest hitting percentage of the season.

Through four conference matches, Wolf leads the Golden Eagles with 3.21 kills per set, followed by Werch with 3.00 and middle blocker Savannah Rennie with 2.29.

Carsen Murray was named Defensive Player of the Week after tallying a match-high six blocks against DePaul and nine kills and four blocks in Friday's win over UConn. The redshirt freshman has 52 blocks on the season and is hitting a team-high .348.

MU is a perfect 4-0 in conference play and has won all five of its matches on the road thus far.

PROVIDENCE (13-4, 1-3 BIG EAST): The Friars enter Friday's matchup after securing their first win in BIG EAST play on Saturday against St. John's. Providence had lost its first three conference contests, but has only lost one matchup outside of BIG EAST play.Â

Shaliyah Rhoden leads the Friars' attack with 3.51 kills per set and Maryanne Boyle sits sixth in the BIG EAST with a .326 hitting percentage. All-BIG EAST setter Allison Barber contributes 10.56 assists per frame, while libero Mackenzie Taylor totals 3.45 digs per set.

SERIES WITH PROVIDENCE:Â The Golden Eagles have never lost to Providence, holding an 11-0 record against the Friars.

CREIGHTON (15-2, 3-1 BIG EAST): MU's Sunday opponent is 3-1 so far in conference tilts, the lone loss being a four-set defeat at the hands of St. John's last weekend.Â

The Bluejays are led offensively by All-American Jaela Zimmerman (3.98 kills per set), who stands second in the conference in kills, and freshman hitter Norah Sis (3.39 kills per set). Setter Kendra Wait has dished out 593 helpers on the year, while Abby Bottomley leads the conference with 5.69 digs per set.Â

SERIES WITH CREIGHTON:Â MU is 4-20 all-time against Creighton, with the most recent win coming in February in Omaha. Outside of that contest, MU is 1-11 at DJ Sokol Arena against the Bluejays.
