Golden Eagles travel to Youngstown State, Dayton
The Marquette University men's tennis team (2-2) continues its dual-match schedule this weekend with a pair of non-conference matchups on the road.
The Golden Eagles will face Youngstown State at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 13 in Dayton, Ohio, before taking on Dayton on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 9 a.m. CT.
Marquette, which has yet to play on the road this season, has won two-straight matches after a pair of victories over IUPUI at Helfaer Tennis Stadium. The team hasn't played since Jan. 30.
"We have been able to get in two solid weeks of practice and really focus on what we need to improve on," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It's our hope, especially with the younger players, that those efforts will transfer to competition not only this weekend, but moving forward the rest of the year."
Five newcomers have seen consistent action early in 2021, including freshman Nikola Kijac, who is 3-1 in singles action.
