Golden Eagles conclude regular season Saturday at Butler
The Marquette University men's tennis team (9-5) opened its weekend road trip with a 5-2 win over Xavier (2-11) on Friday afternoon in BIG EAST action.
The Golden Eagles will conclude the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Butler. First serve is set for 12 p.m. CT.
Marquette opened the match by earning the doubles point (won at No. 1 and 3) and quickly claimed the team victory with a trio of straight-set singles wins. Stefan Dragovic clinched the decision with a 7-6, 6-4 win at the No. 3 spot.
Also earning singles victories for Marquette were Fran San Andres, Nikola Kijac and Ian Brady.
