MTEN, WTEN Head To Butler/Xavier This Weekend

The Marquette University men's and women's tennis teams wrap up their respective regular seasons this weekend as both teams travel to Butler and Xavier to face conference opponents.

The men's team (8-5) will face Xavier at 12 p.m. CT on Friday, April 16 and Butler on Saturday, April 17 at 12 p.m. CT. The women's team (5-5) takes on Xavier Saturday, April 17 at 12/3 p.m. CT and Butler on Sunday, April 18 at 10 a.m. CT.

Following this weekend's action, both programs will travel to Cayce, S.C. to compete in the BIG EAST Championship (April 22-26) with the winner claiming the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

"It's been a few weeks since either team has played and we are looking forward to getting back to competition," Director of Tennis Steve Rodecap said. "We are hopeful that all of the matches will be played outside, which will help as we prepare for the league tourney."
