MTEN Earns First Dual Win, 4-3 Over UIC

Ian Brady clinches team victory
The Marquette University men's tennis team (1-1) picked up its first dual victory of the season with a 4-3 non-conference decision over UIC (0-1) Sunday afternoon at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The Golden Eagles claimed the doubles point with wins at the top-two positions and went on to post three-quick singles decisions to claim the team victory.Ā
Sophomore Ian Brady clinched the win with a 6-4, 6-1 win at No. 5 over UIC's Kevin Kruzel.
Each of Marquette's three singles setbacks came in tiebreaker action after the win had been secured.
UP NEXT:Ā Marquette continues its four-match homestand when the team takes on North Dakota at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, Jan. 28.
