Konen and Ludington run personal bests in Illini Open
CHAMPAIGN, Illinois - Gianna Konen and Carol Ludington represented the Marquette University women's cross country team in the Illini Open Friday afternoon.
The women's 5k race featured a field of 49 harriers. Konen was the top finisher of the two making it around the course in a personal best time of 20:33.2. She beat her old PR by 25-seconds and finished 38th overall.Â
Ludington finished shortly after Konen in a time of 20:54.4 for a new personal best. Ludington finished 41st overall in the event.Â
In the last two meets, Konen and Ludington have recorded personal bests in both the 5k and 6k distances.Â

On Saturday, Oct. 29 the Golden Eagles will be in Attleboro, Massachusetts for the BIG EAST Championships.
