Golden Eagles looking for third league road victory
The Marquette University women's soccer team (6-5-1, 2-2-0 BIG EAST) continues the BIG EAST portion of its schedule when the squad heads to Seton Hall (4-6-2, 0-4-0 BIG EAST) for a 5 p.m. CT matchup on Thursday, Oct. 6.
Following Thursday's action, the Golden Eagles will enjoy their final bye weekend of league play before returning to action on Thursday, Oct. 13 when the team hosts Providence at Valley Fields.
MU Hopes To Continue Success
Marquette has claimed nine of the 11 all-time meeting with Seton Hall and hopes to continue that trend Thursday night.
MU is 9-1-1 dating back to 2006 and has claimed five-straight victories in the series. The Golden Eagles earned a 1-0 victory at Valley Fields in the most recent meeting on Oct. 3, 2021. Senior Hailey Block's first goal of the season in the 69th minute proved to be the difference.
Koker Nets First Score
Defender Katie Koker netted her first goal of the season on Sunday afternoon in the 2-1 loss against UConn.
The Racine, Wis., native found the back of the net for the first time for Marquette since the season finale against SHU on Oct. 25, 2018.
Koker played for Marquette as a freshman, spent a pair of campaigns at Minnesota, returning to Milwaukee for 2022. She has started 11 of the team's 12 outings on the back line.

MU Celebrates 30th Birthday
The Golden Eagles celebrate their 30th birthday in 2022, welcoming back former players to campus Oct. 13-16 for a reunion.
The program has collected nearly 375 wins during its tenure and participated in the NCAA tournament on 13 occasions. MU has claimed 10 regular season league titles in Conference USA and BIG EAST action and four conference tournament titles.
Individual success includes 119 all-conference honorees, 49 all-region selections, 19 national team appearances and 17 All-America accolades.
