
Track & Field Releases 2023 Outdoor Schedule

Outdoor season begins March 31
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track & field team has released its schedule for the 2023 outdoor season.
"We are excited about the outdoor schedule and the number of opportunities it presents to see some tough competition," said head coach Bert Rogers.
MU will send representatives to 10 meets during the season with the potential of 12 with the NCAA Preliminary Round (May 24-27) and the NCAA Championships (June 7-10).
The Golden Eagles will open the outdoor campaign on March 31 at Illinois State and Washington University in St. Louis. The distance runners will be competing in the Wash U Distance Carnival while the rest of the team will be at the Redbird Invite.
After a week off, MU will head to the west coast for a pair of meets in southern California. Marquette will have representatives at the Pacific Coast Invite (Apr. 13) at Long Beach State and the Bryan Clay Invite (Apr. 13-14) hosted by Azusa Pacific. That same week, other members of the squad will be competing at Indiana State in the Gibson Invitational Multi (Apr. 13-14).
The following week, the Golden Eagles will host its home meet on April 22 at Wisconsin Lutheran College's Raabe Stadium. Marquette will honor its seniors after the meet.
Marquette will then travel to Drake for the historic Drake Relays on April 27-29. Other members of the squad will head to UW-Whitewater for the UWW Drake Alternative on April 28.
The Golden Eagles will head up to Madison the first weekend of May for the Wisconsin Classic (May 5) and the final meet before the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships on May 12-13. Villanova will host this year's conference championships.
Sacramento State will be the host site of this year's NCAA Preliminary Round and Texas will be the host of the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Marquette begins the 2022-23 indoor season at Notre Dame on Dec. 3.
