NOTES:
- Redshirt freshman Luke Blanc scored his first career goal with 9:39 remaining in the first quarter. He concluded the game with two goals and an assist. Blanc did not see game action last spring during his true freshman season at UMass.
- Neither team went up by more than one goal until JU's Jack Dolan scored with 6:41 left in the second quarter to put the Dolphins up 7-5.
- Devon Cowan scored in his 19th consecutive game, stretching back to his true freshman campaign in 2020. His streak is one of the longest in NCAA Division I.
- MU had a pair of scores in the second quarter off failed JU clears as O'Grady's second score and Cowan's first both came off JU defensive turnovers.
- JU went on a 9-2 run in the second and third quarters to take a 13-7 lead after O'Grady's second put MU ahead 5-4 early in the second.
- Pierce Washburn posted his first career goal with the extra-man advantage with 9:29 left in the fourth quarter.
- Freshman Hayden Miller made his first career start in the midfield after Jake Stegman shifted to attack in place of the injured Russell Melendez.
- The all-time series is tied, 4-4, but MU has lost the last two match-up against the Dolphins. Prior to Saturday's loss, MU had won each of the previous three road matchups in the series.
- The last meeting against JU came in Feb. of 2020 when then-freshman midfielder Chris Kirschner notched a hat trick, but MU fell 11-9 to the Dolphins. Only two goal-scorers from that game are on MU's active roster in Cowan, and Kirschner.
