Golden Eagles conclude play at Battle at the Beach on Sunday
The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-10) continued play at the Battle at the Beach, hosted by UNC-Wilmington (8-6), with a 4-1 loss to the host Seahawks on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles opened the tournament with a 4-2 win over Bryant on Friday and will conclude action on Sunday against Monmouth on the team's annual spring trip.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at the top two positions. Ian Brady and Stefan Dragovic clinched the point with a narrow 7-5 decision at No. 2.
Unfortunately for Marquette, UNCW was able to take control of the match in singles action and secure the four points needed for the team victory.
