The Golden Eagles set a program record with 18 goals in their last meeting with the Titans, an 18-6 win on Feb. 22, 2020, at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, Michigan. Then-freshman Chris Kirschner scored a hat trick for MU in Andrew Stimmel's first year as MU head coach, while classmates Griffin Fries and Jake Stegman each scored twice.
MU and UDM, fellow Jesuit universities, met in the first home game in Marquette history on April 20, 2013 at Hart Park in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. MU won that contest, 14-9.
MARQUETTE (1-3): Marquette began the season with a triple overtime win at Bellarmine on Feb. 12 but has lost each of its last three games against then-No. rv/15 Jacksonville, Utah and No. 16 Michigan. Saturday's home opener against the Utes featured seven ties, including a 10-10 tie with 12:45 remaining in the fourth quarter on freshman Will Foster's first career goal. The Golden Eagles were able to pull within one, 12-11, on a Russell Melendez score with 37 seconds left, but could not convert a tying goal after winning the ensuing faceoff.
Marquette scored the first three goals against the Wolverines on Tuesday afternoon but gave up seven goals in the second quarter as U-M took an 8-6 lead into the intermission. Freshman Nolan Rappis scored the first two goals of the second half as part of his first career hat trick before the Wolverines scored 4-of-5 to close the quarter and go ahead 12-9.
Freshman Bobby O'Grady also posted a hat trick on Tuesday and leads MU with 10 goals on the season. Melendez is tied for the team lead with 10 points (5-5—10), while Devon Cowan has eight points on five goals and a trio of assists.

Brett Erskine, who had a hat trick in the last meeting with Marquette, leads UDM with four goals this season while Luke Majick has three scores. Goalie Jakob Hemme has played all 180 minutes in net and has made 54 saves, including 13 in the Feb. 19 loss to the Fighting Irish.
