San Andres, Dragovic and Scheetz earn singles wins
The Marquette University men's tennis team (6-14) dropped a narrow 4-3 decision at St. John's (14-4) Saturday night to conclude a weekend road swing at a pair of BIG EAST opponents.
The Golden Eagles defeated Villanova 4-3 on Friday afternoon to open the trip.
For the second-straight match the top three singles players were able to secure a victory, but unfortunately on Saturday MU was unable to claim the doubles point and the result was 4-3 defeat.Ā Fran San Andres (No. 1), Stefan Dragovic (No. 2) and Rami Scheetz (No. 3) were each victorious, with San Andres and Scheetz earning three-set decisions.
Marquette wraps up the regular season next weekend at Helfaer Tennis Stadium with a pair of matches against Xavier and Butler.
