Scheetz clinches team win
The Marquette University men's tennis team (6-13) began its weekend BIG EAST road swing with a 4-3 victory over Villanova (3-12) on Friday afternoon.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point, which would prove to be the difference, by earning wins at the top-two positions.
Rami Scheetz, who teamed up with Fran San Andres for a quick 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, clinched the team win with a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 decision at No. 3. MU earned victories at the top three spots, with San Andres and Stefan Dragovic also victories on Friday.
The Golden Eagles return to action on Saturday at St. John's at 11 a.m. CT
