Short Series Has Plenty Of Highlights
  Â
Marquette has faced UConn on just 13 occasions all-time, but the limited series has already provided a number of memories.
  Â
The all-time series dates back to the program's first year in the BIG EAST in 2005-06.  MU hosted the Huskies at the Bradley Center on Jan. 3, 2006 in the team's first home game as a member of the BIG EAST Conference.  Steve Novak finished with 41 points and 16 rebounds and Jerel McNeal chipped in 19 points and 12 boards in a 94-79 Marquette victory over No. 2 UConn to hand the Huskies their first loss of the season.
  Â
Other series highlights include a game-winning shot by Jimmy Butler with three seconds left in a 70-68 win on the road on Jan. 30, 2010 and an overtime win by Marquette at home on Jan. 1, 2013 when Junior Cadougan forced the extra session on at 3-pointer as time expired in regulation.
  Â
The Huskies swept the season series in 2021-22 and have claimed each of the last four meetings since re-joining the BIG EAST Conference in 2020-21.
Kolek Dishes Out Career High In Latest Win
  Â
Tyler Kolek dished out a career-high 15 assists (zero turnovers) in the win over Georgetown, the third-highest single-game total in school history.
  Â
All-time MU assist leader Tony Miller (956, eighth in NCAA history) owns the MU mark with 17 helpers against Memphis (3/4/95) and Doc Rivers had 16 vs. DePaul (2/6/82).

  Â
MU, which has trailed at halftime in each of the games, has found its rhythm after the intermission. Â The Golden Eagles averaged 58.0 points per contest against STJ and GU in the second stanza (37.5 points in first half), while holding the Red Storm and Hoyas to just 37.0 points over the course of the final 20 minutes.
