MU Making Fourth Maui Invite Trip
  Â
Marquette is making its fourth appearance (2007, 2021, 2017, 2023) in the Allstate Maui Invitational and has posted a 6-3 overall record in its previous three trips, claiming a pair of wins on each occasion.
  Â
The Golden Eagles advanced to the championship game in 2017, falling 77-73 to No. 13 Duke in the title matchup.
MU Looking For First Win Over UCLA
  Â
With the impressive tradition in men's basketball at both Marquette and UCLA, including postseason success, it's hard to believe the two programs have met on just four occasions in the all-time series.
  Â
The first two matchups came in Milwaukee in 1949 and 1964. Â Marquette traveled to Los Angeles for the first time in 2020-21 to open a home-and-home series, with UCLA pulling away for a 69-60 decision on Dec. 11, 2020. Â
  Â
No. 4/4 UCLA claimed a 67-56 win at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 11, 2021 in the most recent matchup between the two programs. Â Five current MU players saw action in that game, including starters Tyler Kolek and Kam Jones.
  Â
The Dec 18, 1964 outing resulted in a 61-52 win by No. 5 UCLA.  The game was part of the Milwaukee Classic under first-year head coach Al McGuire and one night later, MU would defeat Wisconsin, 62-61, to finish the tournament.
