Track & Field Prepares for Pair of Weekend Meets

Simon Werven and Gus Kasun took first and second, respectively, in the heptathlon. Werven scored in the top two in six of seven events and finished with 4842 points. Kasun recorded PRs in all seven events and finished with a score of 4471, No. 8 all-time in the heptathlon at MU.
Arianna Mansavage and Daylee Braden (57.21) took the top two spots in the 400 meters. Mansavage's time of 56.69 is the fourth fastest in the BIG EAST.
Harry Baker claimed his second victory of the season in the high jump, clearing a height of 1.95 meters/6 feet, 4.75 inches.
Sophomore Kaylee Hopp won the triple jump with a mark of 11.47 meters/37 feet, 7.5 inches.
Freshman thrower Josh Pirogovsky earned his first collegiate victory in the shot put with a personal best mark of 14.71 meters/48 feet, 3.25 inches.

UP NEXT:
The big team will split up again next Friday, Feb. 10 with members heading to the GVSU Big Meet and the Hoosier Hills Invitational hosted by Indiana.
