Nelson claims first career singles win
Milwaukee - The Marquette University men's tennis team (0-6) fell 5-2 vs IUPUI (1-8) Sunday afternoon at Elite Sports Club – North Shore.
Despite Marquette opening the match by claiming the doubles point with a pair of wins at the No. 2 and 3 positions, IUPUI was able to quickly claim enough singles victories to take the team decision.
Freshman Thomas Nelson was able to claim his first career dual singles victory as a Golden Eagle at the No. 5 spot, 6-4, 6-1.
UP NEXT: MU will travel to Georgetown on Friday, February 17 at 6 am CT.
