Track & Field Travel to Madison for Badger Valentine Invite

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track & field team heads to Wisconsin for the Badger Valentine Invitational on Friday, Feb. 17.

MU makes the trip up to Madison for its final tune-up before the BIG EAST Indoor Championships. Action at the Camp Randall Sports Center begins at 3 p.m. CT with the field events. Running events will follow at 5 p.m. with the women's 60m hurdles. Live Results for the meet will be available through PrimeTime Timing.

Last Time Out
The Golden Eagles are coming off a pair of meets this past weekend. MU distance runners made the trip to Grand Valley State to compete in the Big Meet. The remainder of the squad went down to Bloomington, Indiana for the Hoosier Hills Invitational.

MU achieved 25 personal bests across both meets.
Mitchell Van Vooren took first in the 600 meters at GVSU with a PR of 1:20.81. His time is No. 7 all-time in MU history. In the same event at Indiana, Zachariah Murray ran the 10th fastest time in school history with a time of 1:21.20.
At GVSU, Dan Weizeorick ran a personal best of 8:17.68 in the 3000 meters. His time is the fourth fastest in school history.
Emily Noone cracked the top 10 list in the 600 meters with a PR of 1:36.11. Noone finished second overall in the event.
At Indiana, Annika Bynum won the high jump for the second time this season. Bynum cleared a height of 1.67 meters / 5 feet, 5.75 inches to win the event.
Kaylee Hopp hopped, skipped and jumped to a personal best of 11.76 meters / 38 feet, 7 inches. Hopp's mark is No. 7 all-time at MU and she placed third at the Hoosier Hills Invitational.
