
Track & Field to Compete at GVSU and Indiana

MU splits the squad for a pair of Friday meets
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track & field teams will compete in a pair of meets Friday, Feb. 10. MU will be sending representatives to Bloomington, Indiana for the Hoosier Hills Invitational and Grand Valley State for the GVSU Big Meet.
A majority of the big team will head to Indiana for the Hoosier Hills Invitational. The Golden Eagles return to Indiana for the first time in over a decade. Action begins in Bloomington at 3 p.m. CT with both the running and field events. Live results for the meet will be available here.
The distance team will be returning to GVSU for the second time this season. Marquette returns to the Big Meet for a second year in a row and for the fourth time in the past five seasons. Events at GVSU will begin at 7:30 a.m. CT with the men's 5000 meters. Live coverage of the Big Meet will be available on Flo Sports with a paid subscription. Live results for the event is available through Milesplit.
Last Time Out
Marquette competed in a pair of meets last weekend at Notre Dame and Carthage College. Over the weekend, 25 Golden Eagles achieved personal bests and two made the top 10 all-time lists.
MU travels to Madison on Friday, Feb. 17 for a final tune-up before the BIG EAST Indoor Championships.

- At the Meyo Invitational, Dan Weizeorick clocked the sixth fastest time in school history in the 5k with a time of 14:34.57.
- Sophomore Kaylee Hopp posted a mark of 11.74 meters/ 38 feet, 6.25 inches in the triple jump at Notre Dame. Hopp's mark is good for No. 7 all-time in MU history.
- Harry Baker broke his previous personal best mark in the high jump by clearing a height of 2.01 meters/ 6 feet, 7 inches to place third at the Meyo Invitational. Baker's mark ranks second in the BIG EAST
- Seven Golden Eagles won their events at the Tadd Metzger Invitational: Ja'Miah Cochran (55m), Payton Hanselman (200m), Stephanie Mauzer (600m), Mikayla Sullivan (800m), Emma Ludwig (high jump), Madison Miller (triple jump) and Justin Juniel (200m).
