WTEN Opens Spring Trip Wednesday

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Marquette University women's tennis team (2-9) will travel to Orlando, Florida to take part in the Spring Break Tennis (SBT) powered by USTA.

MU has been buoyed by junior Emilija Kojcic at the No. 1 position who had a five-match win streak before falling to Yuliya Kizelbasheva of DePaul in the team's last match.

Marquette is slated to take on Rider, Fairfield and Niagara University during the SBT. This will be the first time in program history that the Golden Eagles will compete against all three opponents.

Rider University Matchup:

The Golden Eagles will take on Rider University (2-5) on March 15 to open play in Florida. The first serve is set for 2:00 pm CT at USTA National Campus on courts 1-6.

Fairfield University Matchup:

On Thursday, March 16 at 10:30 am CT, Marquette will take on the Stags of Fairfield at Sanlando Park on courts 14-19.

Niagara University Matchup:

MU will close out their SBT play on Friday, March 17 vs. Niagara (3-6). The first serve is scheduled for 1:30 pm CT at USTA National Campus on courts 15-20.
