Women’s Tennis Travel to Xavier, Butler for a Pair of Matches

Golden Eagles close out regular season this weekend
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's tennis team (8-10, 2-3 BIG EAST) will close out the regular season with two BIG EAST matches. MU will take on Xavier (10-7, 2-0 BIG EAST) and Butler (9-11, 3-2 BIG EAST) this weekend.
The Golden Eagles come into the matches this weekend on a three-match win streak, including a weekend sweep of BIG EAST foes St. John's and Seton Hall last week. The team has seen strides from the entire lineup and looks forward to a final tune-up before the BIG EAST Tournament in Cayce, South Carolina.
Xavier University Matchup:
The first serve is slated for 2 pm (Outdoor) / 3:30 pm (Indoor), depending on weather conditions.
Xavier comes into the match undefeated in conference play, the Golden Eagles are looking to get .500 with a win against the Musketeers. Xavier leads the all-time series with eight wins to Marquette's four wins.
Butler University Matchup
MU and Butler is scheduled to begin at 10 am at the Outdoor Tennis Courts on the Butler Campus.
The all-time series between the two programs is controlled by the blue and gold, the record stands at 7-2 with the Bulldogs taking the last two meetings between the two squads.
