Bou and Ferdman claim singles wins for Marquette
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Marquette University women's tennis team (8-11, 2-4 BIG EAST) drops 4-3 decision to Xavier (11-7, 3-0 BIG EAST) Friday evening.
Marquette started the match by taking the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spot.
The Musketeers were able to take four single wins to come back to take the match from MU.
Seniors Julieanne Bou and Elizabeth Ferdman were able to pick up singles wins for the Golden Eagles. Bou chipped in a tie-break victory at the No. 3 spot ( 6-3, 3-6, 6-1). Ferdman was able to take a straight-set victory at No. 6 (6-4, 6-4).
UP NEXT: Marquette travels to take on Butler on Saturday, April 15.
