Tennis Travels to Division I ITA Midwest Regional Championships

Golden Eagles will send eight players to compete in regional tournament
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's tennis teams continue their respective 2024 fall campaigns this weekend at Division I ITA Midwest Regional Championships.
Both tournaments will begin the individual tournament which includes a 64-player qualifying singles draw Thursday, followed by a 64-player singles main draw and 64-team doubles main draw Friday.
The men's program will be heading to East Lansing, Michigan as Michigan State will be the host site.
For the men's team Blake Roegner, Cyrus Ahmad, TJ Ryerson, and Remi St Laurent will all compete for the Golden Eagles.
Ahmad and St. Laurent lead the team in singles wins this fall with four a piece.
In doubles play Roegner and Ahmad have been a bright spot for MU picking up two wins in three matches.
The women's program will be traveling to Columbus, Ohio as Ohio State will play host of the event.
The women's squad will send Tiera Jarmond, Andie Weise, Aiyana Abbott, and Emma Davis.
In singles competition Abbott, Jarmond, and Weise all have tallied two wins this fall for MU.
The duo of Jarmond/Weise have led the Blue and Gold this fall with three wins out of four matches together.
All results of both tournaments will be published on the ITA (Tournaments) website.
