Golden Eagles home opener set for Monday, Nov. 18 against Illinois Springfield
CHAMPAIGN, Illinois – The Marquette University women's basketball team dropped a road contest at Illinois Sunday night, 65-53.
The Golden Eagles (0-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) were led by Lee Volker, who had a career-high 15 points and tied her career-high in rebounds with eight. Skylar Forbes and Halle Vice had six points apeice.
Illinois (2-0, 0-0 Big Ten) was led by Genesis Bryant, who had 16 points and four rebounds.
UP NEXT: Marquette's home opener is Monday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. CT against Illinois Springfield. It is Marquette's annual Milwaukee Public Schools Kids Day game.
