WBB Hosts IU Indy Sunday at 12 p.m. CT

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team hosts IU Indy on Sunday, Nov. 24 at 12 p.m. CT at the Al McGuire Center.

The matchup airs on FloCollege with Bob Brainerd (play-by-play) and Chloe Marotta (analyst) on the call. Live stats will be accessible at GoMarquette.com.

Marquette is coming off a 92-37 win over Illinois Springfield on Monday, Nov. 18. The win was Cara Consuegra's first as head coach at Marquette.

The Golden Eagles were led by Skylar Forbes, who had a career-high 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds. Lee Volker scored in double-digits for the third straight game, adding 14 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Jaidynn Mason, in her first start at MU, had 10 points, three rebounds and two steals on 5-of-5 shooting. Kennedi Perkins had 10 points and a career-high five rebounds.

Following Sunday's outing, Marquette travels to Piscataway, N.J. on Friday, Nov. 28 and Saturday, Nov. 29 for the Battle on the Banks, a two-game MTE hosted by Rutgers. MU plays Rutgers on Friday at 1 p.m. CT and Maryland Eastern Shore Saturday at 3:30 p.m. CT.

SCOUTING THE JAGUARS
• IU Indy is 1-4 and coming off a 72-47 road loss at Bradley on Thursday, Nov. 21.
• The Jaguars were picked 10th in the Horizon League preseason poll.
• Senior guard Katie Davidson was voted preseason All-League Second Team.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST IU INDY
• Sunday is the fourth meeting all-time between Marquette and IU Indy.
• Marquette leads the all-time series, 2-1, and won last year's matchup in Indianpolis, 92-58, on Nov. 15, 2023.

CONSUEGRA FIRST WIN AT MARQUETTE
• Cara Consuegra earned her first career win as Marquette head coach on Monday in the 92-37 win over Illinois Springfield.
• It had been 5,014 days between games on the bench for Consuegra at the Al McGuire Center, who was an assistant with the Golden Eagles from 2004-11.

FORBES CAREER DAY AGAINST ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
• Skylar Forbes had a career-high 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting and eight rebounds.
• Her 75% shooting clip was a career-high. It was Forbes' eighth career double-figure scoring game and second this season.

LEE EFFICIENT IN ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD WIN
• Lee Volker had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in just 14 minutes played in Monday's win over Illinois Springfield.
• The senior guard has scored in double-figures in every game this season and 12th in the conference in scoring (14.0), 10th in rebound (6.3), and eighth in field goal percentage (47.4).
