DEKALB, Illinois - The Marquette University women's tennis team closed their fall campaign this past weekend in DeKalb, Illinois at the Huskie Invitational hosted by Northern Illinois.
Among MU and NIU the two team were joined by Lewis University, University of St. Thomas, and Indiana University of Indianapolis at the event.
The action was organized in five flights of singles action and two flights for doubles action.

The duo of Luciana Mendoza/Joelle Fiallo Schad picked up two doubles wins. In singles matches freshmen Aiyana Abbott and Elena Duva both picked up two singles wins at the event.
"It was a very well run tournament and very productive for our six players that played this weekend. All of our matches were right at our level at this time which was what we needed," director of tennis Jud Shaufler said. "We learned a lot this weekend and know what areas we need to improve moving toward our dual season."
