Golden Eagles will be back in action at BIG EAST Tennis Championships
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's tennis dropped a 4-1 team decision Butler Saturday afternoon at Elite Sports Club – River Glen.
The Bulldogs opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots.
Butler picked up two straight set victories in singles play at the No. 5 and 6 positions.
Sophomore Blake Roegner picked up a straight set win at No. 1 to give the Golden Eagles a team point making the match score 3-1.
The Bulldogs picked up a win at No. 2 to clinch and take the team decision.
UP NEXT: Marquette will travel to Cayce, S.C. for the BIG EAST Tennnis Championships, beginning on April 19, at the Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center.
