
Braden and Bynum Qualify for NCAA West First Round

Duo will compete in NCAA West First Round in Fayetteville, Arkansas
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University track and field student-athletes Daylee Braden and Annika Bynum will compete in the NCAA West First Round May 23-25 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
"We are very excited that Daylee and Annika are headed to the first round," said Bert Rogers. "Both are coming off strong outdoor seasons with a lot left in the tank. We are looking forward to making some noise in Arkansas!"
Braden set a new program record in the 800m at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships with a time of 2:04.93. Braden is the 27 seed in the 800m.
Bynum cleared 1.75m for a season-best high jump at the Cameron Burrell Alumni Invitational in early April. Bynum is the 43 seed in the high jump.
The top-48 times and marks in each event advanced to the NCAA first round. Both Braden and Bynum will make their NCAA postseason debuts.
The 800m takes place Wednesday, May 23 at 4:50 p.m. CT. The top three from the six heats and next six best times advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.
The high jump is Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. CT. The top 12 marks advance to the NCAA championships in Eugene, Oregon.
