
MSOC To Honor Seniors Thursday Before Taking On Edgewood

Senior ceremony will start at 7 PM at Valley Fields
MILWAUKEE -Â The Marquette University men's soccer team (3-2-1, 0-0-0 BIG EAST) takes on NCAA Division III Edgewood College (3-1-1, 0-0-0 NACC) on Thursday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Valley Fields.
The Golden Eagles will hit the road for one match as they take on the Flames of UIC on Sunday, September 15 at 7 p.m. CT. in Chicago, Illinois.Â
2024 Golden Eagles Senior NightÂ
Prior to kickoff on Thursday night against Edgewood, MU will honor its 2024 senior class with a pre-match senior night ceremony. Â Â

The senior night ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. and Patrick Crantz, Dominik Danis, Josh Hewitt, Donovan Jones, Matt Mclaughlin, Abdoul Karim Pare, and Tim Smith will all be recognized for their respective contributions to both the program and the university.
MU Protected By The Brink's Truck
Marquette's defense has been buoyed by freshmen goalkeeper Marten Brink through six matches. Â Â Â Â Â Â

The Stukenbrock, Germany native ranks number one in saves (23) and save percentage (.852) in the BIG EAST.
Brink lands in the top 15 for shutouts in NCAA Division I rankings, and the top 25 in saves and saves percentage.
The 6'7" keeper has only given up four goals in six matches. Brink has three shutouts on the season which resulted in two wins and one draw for the Golden Eagles.
Matchup History
Thursday's match will be the first meeting between Marquette and Edgewood College in program history.
Sunday's match against UIC will be the seventh meeting between the two programs. The last meeting which was in 2017 resulted in a 2-2 two overtime tie.
