LAST WEEK IN REVIEW

On Oct. 22, Marquette traveled to face Providence and fell 5-0 to the Friars. Providence struck twice within the first 17 minutes and extended its lead to 3-0 by the 25th minute. The Golden Eagles settled in defensively to close out the half but couldn't narrow the deficit. The Friars added two more goals in the 69th and 71st minutes to seal the outcome. Marquette was outshot 17-6, including 9-2 on goal, and trailed 6-3 in corner kicks, extending its losing streak to three matches.
On Oct. 25, the Golden Eagles visited No. 19 Xavier and suffered a 7-1 defeat. The Musketeers controlled play early, building a 3-0 halftime advantage with goals in the 14th, 31st, and 42nd minutes. In the second half, Xavier added four more before Marquette broke through in the 59th minute when Molly Keiper scored off a free kick (MU's first goal since Oct. 11 at UConn). Marquette was limited to three total shots and did not earn a corner, while Xavier finished with six.
SENIOR DAY HISTORY
Senior Day is a meaningful occasion to recognize the student-athletes who have helped define the program's culture and success. Over the past eight seasons, Marquette has recorded a 3-2-2 mark in Senior Day contests, often delivering competitive performances that highlight the leadership and contributions of its senior class.
The Golden Eagles' most recent Senior Day win came in 2021, a 2-1 victory over DePaul. In recent years, Marquette has consistently competed in close matchups on this occasion, continuing a tradition that celebrates the dedication and legacy of its seniors as they take the field for their final home appearance.
SERIES HISTORY WITH SETON HALL

Marquette and Seton Hall first met in 2006, playing to a 1-1 draw. Since then, the Golden Eagles have largely controlled the series, holding a 10-3-1 all-time record entering Saturday's matchup.
Marquette has earned 10 wins in the series, including dominant results such as a 4-0 victory in 2018 and a 5-0 win in 2019. Seton Hall's three victories, including two at home in South Orange (2015, 2022) and one in Milwaukee (2023), show the Pirates' ability to compete, though Marquette maintains the upper hand historically.
The Golden Eagles are 5-1 at home and 5-2-1 on the road against Seton Hall. As both programs prepare to meet again, Marquette looks to build on its historical success, while Seton Hall aims to shift the series momentum.
