Roegner records fourth-straight singles victory at No. 1
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to DePaul to close out a two-match homestand Saturday afternoon.
The Blue Demons opened the match by winning the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, giving them a 1-0 team advantage.
DePaul picked up three singles victories at the No. 2, 3, and 4 positions to secure the team victory, setting the score at 4-0.
Senior Blake Roegner extended his current win streak to four by scoring Marquette's first singles victory at the No. 1 spot in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 6-4).
Freshmen TJ Ryerson recorded a tiebreaker singles victory at No. 5 (6-2, 4-6, 10-4). Ryerson finished the weekend with back-to-back wins at the No. 5 position.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles head to West Point, New York for a three-match weekend taking on St. John's, Army, and Georgetown.
