Jarmond records lone Marquette singles win
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Marquette University women's tennis team closed out a two-match road swing falling 4-2 Saturday evening to BIG EAST foe Georgetown at Lichtenberg Tennis Center hosted by Army.
Marquette opened the match by taking the crucial doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and 3 spots to take a 1-0 advantage.
Senior Tiera Jarmond notched a singles win for the Golden Eagles at the No. 2 spot in straight-set fashion 6-1, 6-2).
The Hoyas went on to take four singles wins at No. 1, No. 3, No. 4, and No. 6 to take the team victory.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will host St. Thomas (Feb. 14) and Bradley (Feb. 16) at Sprovieri Tennis Complex.
