
Marquette Tennis Set For 2025 BIG EAST Championships

Golden Eagles head to South Carolina for Conference Championships
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's and women's tennis teams will open play at the 2025 BIG EAST Conference Championships this week, hosted by the league in Cayce, S.C.
The women's team is seeded 10th in the 11-team field and will face seventh seeded Georgetown on Thursday, April 17 in the first round at 8 a.m. CT. The winner between the Golden Eagles and Hoyas will face No. two seeded Xavier at 8 a.m. CT on Friday, April 18 in the quarterfinals. Â Â Â
The men's team have been voted the No. seventh seed in the eight-team field and will face second-seeded Creighton at 11:45 a.m. CT on Friday, April 18 in the quarterfinals.Â
Cayce Tennis & Fitness Center will host the championship for the ninth consecutive year. The facility offers 30 lighted world-class courts with a championship-sized stadium court that has a viewing capacity of approximately 500 spectators. There are seven dedicated 38' courts for 8 & Under Tennis. Courts are complete with a small central gazebo, iced water coolers and electrical outlets on every court for ball-machine use.

Seeds for the championships were determined by a committee that reviewed each team's regular-season schedule, ITA rankings, results against BIG EAST and common non-conference opponents and wins/losses against ranked foes.
There is no charge for admission.
