
Marquette Opens 2025 Season in the Aloha State

Golden Eagles play three games in the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball
The Marquette women's volleyball team will make its second appearance in the Hawaiian Airlines  Wahine Volleyball Classic Saturday, Aug. 30 in Honolulu, Hawai'i to open the 2025 season.Â
The Golden Eagles will face Hawai'i with a midnight start Central Time on Saturday and will see San Diego at 9:45 p.m. Saturday night. On Sunday, Aug. 31 MU battles Utah State at 7:45 p.m. CT.
HISTORY x OPPONENTS
Against Hawai'i, the Golden Eagles are 2-0, with the most recent win being a 3-0 victory on August 28, 2021 in O'ahu.Â
MU and San Diego have only met one time and the Toreros took the 3-0 win on August 27, 2017.
Marquette and Utah State will meet for the first time in progam history.
HISTORY x TOURNAMENT
The Golden Eagles claimed the title in the Rainbow Wahine Classic on August 29, 2021 after sweeping Fairfield 3-0 at Simplfi Arena at the Stan Sherrif Center.
At the conclusion of the tournament, MU led all teams with three players being named to the 2021 Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Classic All- Tournament team.

Marquette finished 25-9 last season and made its 13th appearance in the NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship.
MU landed second in the BIG EAST after falling to then No. 5 Creighton in the BIG EAST Championship.
The Golden Eagles are led by first-year head coach Tom Mendoza. Ethan Pheister, Stef Jankiewicz, and Riley Whitesides join Mendoza's staff and are all entering their first year at Marquette.
BRAY IS BACK
MU middle blocker Hattie Bray returns for her senior year leading the conference with a hitting mark of .431 (161-27-311).Â
Bray was selected by unanimous decision to the All-BIG EAST Â Team alongside former teammate Aubrey Hamilton.
Bray was also named to the 2024 Â AVCA All-North Region First Team.
GOLDEN ADDITIONS
The Golden Eagles welcome a talented group of newcomers this season, including six freshman and three transfers.
Among the transfers are: Elena Radeff (Santa Clara), Allie Korba (Central Michigan), and Julia Stanev (Eastern Illinois).
Collectively, they have recorded 459 digs and 634 kills in their collegiate careers, bringing proven skill to the court.
The six freshmen: Isabela Haggard, Keira Schmidt, Emma Parks, Mari King, Annika Kowalski, and Avery Helms bring championship pedigree, all-conference nods, and leadership from their respective high school teams.
