Marquette hosts Western Kentucky to start at 7 p.m. CT
The Marquette women's volleyball team hosts Western Kentucky on Friday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. in its home opener. The Golden Eagles will also face No. 25 Dayton on Saturday and Buffalo on Sunday. MU enters the match 2-1 after defeating Hawaii and Utah State 3-2 in the 2025 Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Classic.
HISTORY x OPPONENTS
Against WKU, the Golden Eagles lead the all-time series 3-2. The last match up was a 3-2 victory for MU in Hilltopper territory on Sept. 13, 2024.
Marquette and Dayton have met a total of 32 times in program history. The Flyers holding a 22-10 advantage. The last time the two teams met, the Golden Eagles secured a 3-1 victory on the road.
MU and Buffalo will meet for the first time in program history.

WKU (2-1): Opened the season with a 3-0 sweep over Wright State and Loyola-Chicago but fell 3-2 to Drake. WKU was also selected to finish first in the conference and placed three Hilltoppers on the CUSA Preseason All-Conference team.
Dayton (2-1): The Flyers recorded two 3-1 victories over Lafayette and Washington State in the Utah Tournament and fell 3-1 to No. 23 Utah. In the Atlantic 10 Conference preseason poll, Dayton was selected to finish first, unanimously.
Buffalo (2-1)- The Bulls come to the Al after defeating Marist 3-1, Rutgers 3-2, and falling to Liberty 3-0. Buffalo was voted fifth in the MAC and placed one player on the Preseason All-MAC team.
