
Golden Eagles Set to Open Dual Season in North Dakota

MU will face UND and Montana State in its opening weekend
MILWAUKEE -Â The Marquette University men's tennis team travels to Grand Forks, North Dakota to take on UND on Friday, January 16 in the dual season opener.
The squad returns seven players from last season, including Blake Roegner, Evan Glebov, Teddy Wong, Ivan Vazquez, Kristian Blagoev, Hugh Perrill, and Remi St. Laurent.
The team adds three newcomers to this year's roster, including sophomores Clayton Anderson and Luke Coppage. Marcos Vazquez is the team's lone freshman and the brother of Ivan.
North Dakota Matchup
The Fighting Hawks and the Golden Eagles both enter the match with a clean slate as this match will be the first test for both teams.
First serve is set for 4:30 p.m. CT.
In five meetings between the two squads, UND holds the advantage over Marquette with a series record of 5-0.
Montana State Matchup
MU will be back in action Saturday, January 17 to close its opening weekend. The match will be played at the University of North Dakota.Â
This will be the first time in program history that the two teams meet.
First serve versus MSU is set for 3:30 p.m. CT.
