High School: Steinmetz attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School where she was a distance runner on the cross country team...Also ran the 800m and 1500m on the track team.... She was a four-time letter winner in track and earned three in cross country...2007 she was named the Kentucky Senior Runner of the Year ...Earned a spot on the All-State Super Team three consecutive years...As a junior she helped her cross country team to a Kentucky State Championship ...Was part of a track state championship as a freshman...Holds the school record in the 400m and 800m.
Personal: Steinmetz is a biomedical engineering major...Born on March 29, 1989...Daughter of Kimberly and Michael Steinmetz.
