Van Sickle Leads MU in 12th Place at Xavier Intercollegiate

LOVELAND, Ohio - A solid first round from sophomore Dustin Schwab and a good 36 hole performance by sophomore Mike Van Sickle has Marquette in 10th place through two rounds at the Xavier Intercollegiate.
Van Sickle shot two under par 70 in each of the first two rounds to shoot four-under through 36 holes. He is in a tie for 12th. Schwab fired a 68 in the first round to help the MU cause.
Through 36 holes, Marquette has a team score of four-under 572. Maryland leads the team event with a course record 553 through the first two rounds.
Individually, Maryland's Tyler Whitman and Xavier's Jason Kokrak lead the way at 10-under, 134.
Junior Michael Bielawski is in 32nd place through 36 holes with a two-under 142. Bielawski finished second at this event as a freshman.
Schwab is also in 32nd place at 142. Junior Ted Gray is in 62nd place at four-over, 148. Freshman Ben Sieg is in 90th place at 11-over, 155.
