Bielawski Places Second at The McLaughlin

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - A final round 68 moved junior Michael Bielawski up two spots to a second place finish at The McLaughlin in Farmingdale, N.Y. It is the second time that Bielawski has finished second in his career, with the other coming at The Xavier Intercollegiate his freshman year.
Bielawski finished two shots off the pace of individual medalist Blake Sattler of Akron, who finished with a 204 (six under).
Sophomore Dustin Schwab also shot a 68 in the final round to help Marquette to a third place team finish. Akron won the team title at five-under, 835. St. John's placed second at 837. Marquette shot an 847.
Schwab and sophomore Mike Van Sickle tied for 12th with a 212 (two-over). Van Sickle shot a final round 74.
Junior Ted Gray jumped to 46th place after a final round 73 to finish at 11-over, 221. Freshman Ben Sieg finished in 50th place at 12-over, 222.
The golf team returns to action at the Xavier Intercollegiate in Cincinnati, Ohio. The tournament runs from October 2-4.
