No. 19/19 Downs UNI, 102-61 in Preseason WNIT Quarterfinals

Six Golden Eagles recorded double-digits fot the second straight game
MILWAUKE—For the second straight game the No. 19/19 Marquette women's basketball team had six players in double figures as Allazia Blockton led all scorers with 22 points in a 102-61 victory over Northern Iowa on Sunday afternoon in the Preseason WNIT quarterfinals.
Along with Blockton, Erika Davenport poured in 18 points, Amani Wilborn had 14, Danielle King connected for 13 and freshman Chloe Marotta tallied a career-high 11 points for the Golden Eagles (3-0). Natisha Hiedeman added 10 points and dished out a career-high 10 assists in the victory, tallying the first Marquette double-double of the season.
For the third time in as many games Marquette dished out over 20 assists, handing out 22 against UNI (1-1), while forcing 25 turnovers.
The Golden Eagles led from opening tip and ran out to a 30-12 advantage after one quarter, the most points the squad has scored in a single frame this season.
MU finished the day shooting a season-best 56.7 percent (38-67) from the field, including nine from long range and outrebounded the Panthers, 43-32
Blockton has moved into second on the Golden Eagles' all-time scoring list with 1,838 career points. She needs just 103 more to break Krystal Ellis' scoring record of 1,940.
The Golden Eagles will travel to No. 25/24 Miami for the semifinals on the Preseason WNIT. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. CT at the Watsco Center.
