1/3/2019 11:14:00 AM | Women's Soccer
Leadership member of SHAPE and exercise physiology major

An exercise physiology major, Carlson has achieved College of Health Sciences Dean's List, Big East Academic Honor Roll, and AD Honor Roll accolades each semester at Marquette. She is a member of Chi Alpha Sigma (National Honor Society for student-athletes), and is a leadership member of SHAPE (Student Health Allies and Peer Educators, the peer mental health group at Marquette).
Carlson has made a significant impact in her role with SHAPE by including new ideas and opportunities. She has coordinated new initiatives including organizing help for injured student-athletes and launching a yoga class during finals week that will continue throughout the following semester. She has also introduced mindfulness practices and integrated technology in peer outreach. Her help in developing fresh, new relevant opportunities has resulted in greater reach and participation for the program.
The St. Louis, Missouri, native has also made great impacts in the community as an annual participant in Marquette's Campus Kitchens outreach program. Additionally, Carlson works in the academic center where she coordinates programming details and clerical work.
During the 2018 season, Carlson appeared in two matches for the Golden Eagles. She didn't concede a goal and combined with Maddy Henry in 4-0 shutout vs. Seton Hall on Oct. 25.
