Hunter Eichhorn shot a 4-under 68 on Tuesday and is tied for 11th

EWA BEACH, Hawaii – The Marquette University men's golf team is tied for seventh through 36 holes at the Hoakalei Country Club Invitational in 'Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
Junior Hunter Eichhorn (72-68—140) moved up the leaderboard on Tuesday by shooting a 4-under-par 68, which included three birdies and an eagle on the par-5 second hole. Eichhorn began his day on the fifth hole and had a clean scorecard before bogeying the par-4 first prior to his eagle. The Carney, Michigan native is tied for 11th for the tournament and is four strokes ahead of MU's closest golfers, Aidan Lafferty (72-72—144) and Matt Murlick (71-73—144) at even par after two rounds.
Lafferty shot a 1-under 71 on Tuesday, while Murlick was 1-over par. Tyler Leach (71-75—146), who tied Murlick with a first round 71 on Monday, shot 3-over 75 on the day but recovered after starting his round five over through five holes. They are tied for 31st.
Senior Matthew Bachmann (T64, 77-71—148) fired his best round of the year while playing as an individual with a 1-under 71 that featured four birdies.
East Tennessee State (276-286—562) and Louisville (285-277—562) lead the field at 14-under par and Ole Miss (270-294—564) shot six strokes over par on Tuesday to fall into third. MU (286-287—573) is one stroke behind Cal State Fullerton and two behind fifth-place Nevada.
Play in the three-day tournament resumes with a shotgun start for Wednesday's final round at 1 p.m. Central time.
